One of our partner shelters in Ukraine came across her during a routine check of the area and immediately knew she needed help. Rosa’s pelvis was badly broken, leaving her unable to move or escape her dire circumstances.
With no time to lose, she was rushed to the nearest veterinary clinic. The injuries were severe, but thanks to the dedication of the vets and the incredible support of our rescue community, Rosa underwent a life-saving operation to repair her pelvis. Despite everything she had been through, Rosa showed a gentle, trusting side that touched everyone who cared for her.
Her recovery wasn’t easy, but Rosa proved to be a fighter. With weeks of rest, rehabilitation, and the loving care of shelter staff, she slowly regained her strength. Today, Rosa is fully healed and living safely at the shelter. She’s a sweet and affectionate dog, often found wagging her tail as she greets visitors or soaking up the warmth of the sun in the shelter yard.
Rosa’s resilience and gentle spirit inspire everyone who meets her. She’s now waiting for the final chapter in her journey—a loving forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and adored.

Rosa has been staying at the Mishan shelter since her operation. Dog Rescue Inc. funded a new kennel just for her, as there was no other space available. Here she is with her winter coat the loving staff made to keep her warm in the freezing Ukrainian winter.
